Elaine Warfield is an author, photographer and publisher residing in the beautiful Northern Catskills in the hamlet of East Jewett. Elaine also enjoys painting barn murals and in a previous life created handmade quilts both large and small. Her first barn mural of quilts on a clothesline appeared in several magazines and is a featured landmark of Roadside Art in Panoramio via Google Earth. The quilt mural, after 10 years, has been replaced with a new barn mural of the Northern Catskills at sunrise and is approximately 14 feet high by 50 feet wide.
Elaine has created a variety of fiction and non-fiction books under her own imprint, Questor Books. Elaine loves to combine her photography with her books, and has created a coffee table collection entitled, "The Northern Catskills in Photographs."
One of her recent projects is a full-color image-based book, "Women and Their Horses: For the Love of the Horse," a four-year photography project showcasing the love between women/girls and their equines.
Elaine creates art and books based upon her interests. "The Great American Horse Drive: 60 miles in Two Days", "Logging in the Northern Catskills", "Every Logger Has a Story: Men and Women of the Wood and Logging Industry."
All her books can be found on Amazon and at her website. www.ElaineWarfield.com and www.ElaineWarfieldBooks.com
