David Peskin
Thanks to the Arts Alliance I have been able to practice my talents which have enriched my life. I can still be thrilled by nature which explains my love of scenic photography, concentrating mostly in and around the mountaintop on barns that have seen better days. In my own way I am preserving the history of older times. Each abandoned barn tickles my imagination and joyfully excites me to wonder as to its history.
Always involved in some form of art, beginning with playing piano jazz and pop standards, my art encompasses poetry, the written word as well as photography. Fine art has never been my talent, but creativity in thinking outside the box allows me to find solutions that have benefited me most.
I am docent and a tour leader for the piano museum, a unique institution not found elsewhere. The Museum is located on Main Street in Hunter New York adjacent to the movie theater. I play the pianos and am available for providing music, as I have played publicly, for restaurants and other gigs.
